hi, some of you may recognize me from the feral group and I'm glad to

be here cause alot of vegetarian food needs a little more kick.

speaking of dinner I will tell you what I had last night since its a

little more interesting. I had soy granules with trader joes indian

spinach sauce and this curried rice with veggies. I think the rice is

called birmini or something like that its a frozen rice they have

there too. anyways I had to add at least half a container of curry

powder to get the flavor right. I dont know what it is about some

indian sauces or foods but they just dont put in enough curry powder.

anyway I am glad to be here.

stay cool, Dave

Hi Dave - I recognize you from the feral group for one! *lol* Nice to have you

here. Hey I know what you mean about the curries - and may I say that many

commercial curry powders aren't quite what one wants them to be either ;=)

I'll look forward to chatting more later. Welcome to Vegetarian Spice! I hope

you enjoy the group!

Best,

do you mean Basmati rice?

are you able to buy Patak's Indian sauces - they are very hot!! Widely

available here in the UK but not sure if they are sold abroad. My eldest son

loves to eat Tindaloo (one hotter than a Vindaloo) and Patak's sauces are a

starting point for him! :~}
