Guest guest
Hot summer days (it's 96 degrees F here in Northern California today!) always get me thinking of summertime family gatherings. As vegetarians who frequently attend traditional (read, " meat-eating " ) family events, my hubby and I are used to bringing along our own main courses. I can't count how many times I've showed up at a BBQ with a package of Boca burgers in hand. I have a couple of really good sandwich recipes to share with you, which I will post separately. They are easy to prepare, although they do require the ability to heat food prior to serving. If you're gathering at someone's home, it's easy to do this with a microwave. I'd love to learn about your favorite meatless sandwich/picnic/BBQ meals -- ones that can be easily taken to a food event. Laurie
Guest guest
What a good idea ;=) I'd really appreciate some good ideas along these lines!!! And I'm sure everyone else would too. We're not as hot as you are by a long shot, but it is warm enough indoors today to make anything more than what can be served cold or heated up in the microwave unappetizing. Anyone else got good quick and easy summer ideas???? Me, I'm still in the throes of a summer cold (wouldn't you just know!) so I've been neglecting you all the last few days. I promise to be cured by tomorrow!!!
