Guest guest
I try not to rub being veggie into folks noses. I do my thing quietly and if someone asks about it, I politely explain why and try not to make a big deal of it. I think it is a personal choice for private reasons, if others are interested, they will ask, if not, we can hang out together anyways. Kinda like my view on religion... By the way, even as a veggie, I would take offense to bringing a live turkey to the dinner. I grew up on the farm, I not only new what the animals looked like that I ate, I fed most of them as babies. Some of us do this for ethical reasons, seems like many of the rest of you, others of us do it for more health and environmental reasons, like myself. Please try to respect all views on this list... Seems to really only come up in conversation if we are out at a restaurant with others; and I certainly try to keep a low profile about it, since it makes me feel a bit shy or awkward. Family members are another story. Not so much my immediate family, but more the extended family; aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws etc. For some reason they seem to want to bring it up. I'm not sure why that is really. Thankfully this is rare now, living 3000+ miles away from them. [lol] I would also like to say that I think everyone here is doing very well at showing mutual respect on this list for the various reasons behind why we are vegetarians AND towards the different types of vegetarians; even the non-vegetarians who are members and share our love for this type of cooking. Thanks for that. Namaste.
Guest guest
Hello matrixenos; Mine never lasts long enough to know how long it would last in refrigerator. Because, when I cook, I double up recipes when I make my dishes and then what I do is freeze things in portions, so then on the days that I don't feel well, I just take out of the freezer and reheat my dish. I'll have to bottle some and just let it sit in the refrigerator to see how long it lasts in there next time. Hope your weekend is going going . With Love hugs GOD BLESS !!! " RE: Spicy Soy Sauce Oh, weird, ok I got some funky number for the amount of soy sauce (1#8260;4 cup soy sauce ) and was wondering what it was, however in the reply below it showed one-quarter " 1/4 cup " (for those who can't read it, must have been a font thing). Anyways, thanks as if I didn't already LOVE soy sauce and of course heat, ya had to go and combine the two. This recipe is a keeper and I was wondering how long the real deal would keep in the fridge? Genius recipe, thanks.
