Guest guest
Hey Pat, Thanks for checking on us It is pouring rain and howling wind here in west central Florida. It will take at least an hour to clear my driveway of fallen trees and branches, before I can get my car out to go check on my Mom. My cat Lucy is snoozing through the whole thing! I'm lucky to still have electricity (duh - how'd you think the internet works, Karen?), but most surrounding areas are without. Guest guest
Well Hi there Dr Stan ;=) Glad you're okay! Now tell me, if it doesn't sound too frivolous, what does a good guy in Northern Florida have for a good veggie dinner after surviving Frances??? Well, never mind LOL Thanks for checking in! Best, Pat ;=) > ALL Ok here in Nothern Florida Lost power for a hour or more , sun shineing NOW !! little bit of heavy rain but doing fine Had a Good Veggie dinner . > > Dr.Stan.....!!!! Guest guest
Glad you're okay, Karen - and hope everything's okay with your Mom too! Don't envy you the job of clearing branches and stuff, but I guess it could be a lot worse (well, duh, Pat - isn't that why you asked?). Hugs for yourself and scritchies for Lucy. Guest guest
Here in western Broward County there was not much damage. Some trees were down. We lost electricity for two days (in our all-electric complex), but otherwise we had no other problems. I can tell that the storm is over because the recycle bins have been put out again. (The maintenance people put them away somewhere so they would not take off in the windstorm and damage cars.)
Guest guest
Pat - did you send the same note to the Vegetarian Spice group, too? Anyhow, we are fine here in Tamarac, FL. Yup, but that's okay. I was kinda asking on behalf of the group ;=) Good to hear from you! > Anyhow, we are fine here in Tamarac, FL. We knew it wasn't going to be as strong a storm as they had originally feared, but we also figured it would be no picnic for those in the thick of it. Take care of yourself - and I hope the clean-up isn't too horrendous for you. Best, Pat ;=)

Glad to know you're okay ;=) Thanks so much for checking in! Will you have much clean-up to do around your home??? > We lost electricity for two days (in our all-electric complex), but > otherwise we had no other problems. That's lucky. Thankdog the storm wasn't as strong as predicted. Two like that would have been horrendous ;=( Best love, Pat ;=)
Guest guest
Hi all, We live just N of Tampa and were w/out power for 2 days also. There were some trees down, and some roofs torn off. The storm pretty much effected all of Fl. We were very fortunate again, with just yard debris to clean up. Guest guest
Thanks for checking in! Yes, we heard here that all of Florida was affected - pretty nasty having two storms so close together :=( Take care of yourself and don't sprain or strain anything cleaning up the yard.
