Guest guest
Hello everybody, For those of you who do not eat turkey and find tofurkey not to yourliking, I happen to be one of you, then here is my recipe for Mock Turkey that I make every year at thanksgiving. I suppose it is my contribution to being traditional!! Mock Turkey one bunch of celery one cup of almonds of pecans(almonds seem to taste better to me at least) one green onion one avocado 1/2 bunch of parsley sage to taste salt and pepper to taste If you do this right, and close your eyes, it almost tastes like turkey, or so they tell me.Grind the bunch of celery, the onion, and the parsley through a food processor.Drain off the liquid, but save and use in something else, or drink it.Put the nuts in a seed or coffee grinder and grind until fine. Now mash the avocado wiht a fork untio it is well mashed. Add the nuts, avocado, and sage to the celery mixture. There you have it, simply and easy. You can shape it like patties and serve on a leaf of green lettuce.
