Guest guest
-> ->make a brussel sprout that tasted like chocolate cake The secret to brussels sprouts is to roast them: Trim the stem ends, cut them in 1/2, grease up w/olive oil, toss in a few thyme sprigs, spread out on a baking sheet & ROAST @ 350 - 400F dependig on how quickly you want them cooked/how hot you want your kitchen. Stir occasionally. They are done & delicious when browned & a bit crispy (= caramelized!). It's not chocolate cake but...my young children fight over these. Bethie I got this idea/recipe from Mollie Katzen's 'Vegetable Heaven'. greenfury2004 <greenfury2004 wrote: >Now if they could only make a brussel sprout that tasted like chocolate cake, >I suspect we would > convert the whole world to vegeterianism!!! Guest guest
YES. Especially the super fresh farmstand carrots w/the tops still on. I trim the tops, leaving about 1/2 " then roast them. They are like candy!! We're having some tonight, in fact!!! **CRAP! I left out the part about sprinkling on a bit of Kosher salt when the veggies come out of the oven!!!** !#$%^(slinking away now) Marilyn <marilyn wrote: I agree with you on the brussels sprouts roasted in the oven.
