i always get invited to a gathering at a friend's home.

They are omnivores and turkey is served, but i don't

eat it. i eat all the other delicious vegetarian items on

the menu and i make sure to bring along one or two

of the side dishes, so i know i will get something i

really like. i do miss the gravy and the Quorn roast

and veggie stuffing... but then i make some at my

own house the next day, and i enjoy them again

at our Yuletide feast a month later. :)

1. What will be on your plate this Thanksgiving?

List your menu plans or what you know of.

For the vegetarian--deviled eggs, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, cherry or

pumpkin pie, broccoli and cauliflower mix, cornbread with honey.  maybe wild

rice with nuts if she likes the thought.  It would've been corn pudding, but

she's lactose intolerant also.

For the lactose tolerant non diabetics eggnogg

For the otherwise diet cranberry sierra mist

For the omnivores, same as the vegetarian but with a turkey and bread stuffing.

2. Do you cook all day? intermittently; I find the turkey to be actually easy to

fix and ignore.

Or are you going to be a guest

at some gathering? Are you going to be the only vegetarian? third daughter is

the veggie at our house.

What is the weirdest thing an omnivore has said to you

on Thanksgiving day?  " The kitchen caught fire, all the side dishes are covered

with foam from the fire extinguisher, and we're going out for Chinese. "

3. If you cook, what methods? baking, roasting, and stovetop; microwave for

cranberry sauce.[baking, roasting, pan frying,

crockpot/slowcooker , stove top, campfire?]

4. What is your favorite activity for after the feast? going to admire decorated

trees at a local festival

[walking, watching TV, watching football?]
