Guest guest
Yes! Excellent cookbook. I haven't come across anything like it, since obtaining it several years ago! To the person who mentioned wanting bbq ideas. I'm sure if you are referring to the smoke/outdoorsie-grilled flavor or the literal bbq sauce flava flave. This isn't really a recipe but I've grilled veggie patties before and I've just grilled 16 more (4 different types) this past weekend. They really do take on that great smokey flavor (if one likes that) and I've gotten rave reviews thus far. Obviously you can do anything with it at that point...add bbq sauce or make a sammich out of it. I grilled onions (until dark, sweet and smokey) as well as jalps (to heat things up) with the sammich or un-burger. Maybe crisp up a wheat bun and add some fresh lettuce and tamaters to it as well...whatever ya like. If I remember correctly, the four I grilled were....MSF - reg. burger, fajita burger and black bean burger...and Gardenburger portabella burger. Speaking of bellas, I grilled two of them bella shrooms that I marinated with soy sauce, a bit of hoisen, ginger, garlic and red pepper (more than less of course). I haven't tasted that yet. And speaking of Mexican food (sorta), tortillas grilled on each side for a couple of minutes are wonderful. It's literally 1000s of tried and >true recipes for around $20. It tells you how to make seitan and then >flavor it with various broths. Those broths also work very well with tofu >that had been frozen and then thawed. There are some bar be que recipes in >there too. _______________ On the road to retirement?
