Jalapeno Blackeyed Peas

2 cups dried blackeyed peas

4 jalapenos, chopped

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

4 cups water

hot sauce

 

 

 

 

In a large pot, cover the peas with 4 cups water, add onion, garlic

and peppers.

 

Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium low, cover and allow to simmer

gently until tender, about 2 hours.

 

Serve in a bowl, adding your favorite hot sauce.
