My 13 year old daughter just discovered that there is gelatin in nail polish remover and asked me where she could find cosmetics that are vegetarian friendly. Thanks! Sue stargazer **************************************************** Hi, Sue! I also had the same problem as your daughter, and finally found both nail polish & np remover that was cruelty- & animal product- free. I can't find it in the house right now, and can't remember the name (boy, am I helpful, huh??), but I can tell you that I found it at a " Bread & Circus " supermarket - which is owned by " Whole Foods " . I think if you check at any Whole Foods store, you should be able to find it. I will endeavor to find the stuff in my house and send you the name, too!! Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who had suggestions about vegan cosmetics. I bookmarked the links you mentioned! In the meantime, I discovered that Sally Hanson nail polish remover does not contain gelatin. Until I get to check the others out, my daughter said she'd used this. I never realized how complicated it was to make this lifestyle choice. Although, so far, only my 13 year old is a vegetarian, she sure is educating the rest of us. I have managed to find her vegetarian vitamins, too, as she's of the age where she needs a bit more iron - as recommended by her doctor. Actually there were a number of " teen " formula vegetarian vitamins to choose from. Thankfully. Sue stargazer - " C.
