ADMIN: RECEIVING DUPLICATE (OR TRIPLICATE) MESSAGES FROM VEGETARIANSPICE??? :=(

I mentioned a couple of days ago that there seemed to

be a problem with some members receiving duplicate and

even triplicate emails from the list. If this is a

problem for you PLEASE contact me at:

and I'll remove you manually and then add you to the

list manually rather than having you

because of this glitch. That should work, but no

guarantees.

 

I have now found out that it is not just this list,

but it is happening elsewhere as well, though not it

seems on a grand scale.

 

Many people (not all) are on No Mail or Special

Notices, others on Digest, but some still receiving

Individual Messages.

 

This is a problem and we probably should just

wait for it to go away. What has happened is that for

some crazy reason some of you are listed in the

Members list twice (or thrice), as in:

 

greenfury2004 greenfury2004 9/24/04

greenfury2004 greenfury2004 9/24/04

greenfury2004 greenfury2004 9/24/04

 

(the date would be the date you joined this list)

 

If I change or delete one, both or all three are

changed or deleted, so that's not a solution.

 

There are 28 members in this position ;=( Not a bit

funny.

 

Now, I suggest that you choose the option most

comfortable for you (in no special order):

 

1. Go on Digest - then delete one of the digest with

identical numbers each time the two of them come

through.

 

2. Go on Special Notices (which is to say you'll

receive no list mail, since I don't plan on sending

out any) - and read on the webpage, post from there,

etc. This is an option that many members choose

anyway.

 

3. Ask me to try to fix it up on an individual basis -

will be happy to do that! It's worth a shot.

 

4. Persevere with getting two or three of everything

until it goes away (the least attractive option,

perhaps).

 

But whatever you do please do not simply

because you are getting 'too many emails' - of course

you are! But I can fix that, I think. Just ask.

 

So okay, you poor persecuted 28 members! What's it to

be??? Let me know, okay ;=)

I would think the easiest thing would be NO email - just go to the site to read

the posts. For whatever reason, I'm not having this problem, but if I was,

I just put myself on digest for awhile, as I'm getting three of every

message here, and from a few other as well.

My mail exceeds 200 a day now!!!

Can we say DELETE !!! LOL

Yes, the problem does seem to be larger than just this list. While I am

not double listed on , I am getting double messages from

the ivu-veg-news group.
