Guest guest
Ok, I know this is kind of wierd to ask on a recipie list, but I wonder if anyone has suggestions for vegetarian frozen dinners. Which ones are good, which are bad, etc? I've had Amy's frozen dinners and they are pretty good. But are there any others? Thanks Gina
Guest guest
hey gina, i like amy's stuff...the enchiladas rock! celentano's makes some good frozen veggie products too. they may make some non-veggie stuff, so read labels. i've tried a coupla different frozen things from cedarlane and thought they were pretty disgusting. susie --- Yankee Dyke <yankeedyke wrote: > Ok, I know this is kind of wierd to ask on a recipie > list, but I > wonder if anyone has suggestions for vegetarian > frozen dinners. I don't know if you have a Trader Joe's where you live, but they have a frozen vegan Pad Thai with tofu that is one of my favorites. It's cheap too ($1.99). Seeds of Change makes a number of frozen vegetarian entrees that are tasty (not vegan though, if that is what you are looking for). Quorn also has a new line of items called Simply Saute, in Mexican, Indian and Thai varieties. I tried the Mexican one and it was really good, but I thought it was a bit expensive ($6 at Whole Foods for a bag w/2 servings). I don't believe Quorn is vegan either. I don't think it's such a weird question to ask...I would rather eat home-cooked food, but realistically at times we need something quick. I keep a stash of Amy's frozen burritos at home and at work for that reason. Andrea
