Guest guest
Hello Pat; Don't give up on getting places to be vegetarian. It's wonderful that you're teaching the ones that you are about it all. Most places are afraid because they havent' a true concept of what it means to be vegetarian. They figure it would be extra work for them or too difficult to do. But , once they learn and see, they see that it's not so bad after all. If you know what I mean? As for Yve's products .... That was the only one that came to my mind at the time I was responding to the message. There are other brands of different products also that the store is getting. Have you ever tried or heard of Terra Chips? I tried them for the frist time, and are they ever good. They're made with vegetables . They have different selection. I had bought the one with all the different types of chips in the one bag. To see what each variety tasted like. Hope your weekend went well. Irene-Marie GOD BLESS!!!! wrote:
Guest guest
Thanks for the great encouragement! Actually, if I find that somewhere has something veggie or vegan on the menu, I *rave* about how good that is and order it and my dh orders the other veg item if there is one so that we can try both. Then we applaud as appropriate (or a bit over the top, if the truth be known) and the *next* time say we want that 'delicious' such and such that we had last time. That way, we get remembered but not so much as pains in the butt (which of course all veggie folk are to the regular restaurant) but as pains who at least reward them for producing something edible ;=) Some restaurants will make something vegetarian or vegan to order too. And No, I haven't tried Terra Chips. I will look for them ;=) Thanks! Btw, bearing in mind the theme of this list I hope they are reasonably low cal??? I need to lose more weight!!! :=( Take care - and thanks for writing! His newest CD, which has restyled some lyrics with more contemporary words, are combined with a songbook. That way, your churches choir or singing group can work with a proven vocal interpreter for Peaceful Music, and also add his voice, as our is on Kauai, to the upcoming Holiday experiences. You'll find that information comes to you in a file, when you to the group above. We hope you have a wonderful Holiday experience, and will soon join our community(if you do, then simply add a link to your website, under the Peaceful Sites You'll Want to Visit.) Okay, have you looked at our recipes in the Files section. Look under main dishes - there are lots of good recipes there with beans! Best, Pat ;=) ______________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Fri, 03 Dec 2004 12:53:55 -0000 " greenfury2004 " <greenfury2004 RECIPE: Kao Pad Prik (Thai Fried Chilli Rice) This dish can be ovo-vegetarian or vegan, depending on whether or not you choose to top with strips of fried egg or strips of tofu. We have ours with tofu. It is hot and spicy and a true delight! Amounts here are approximate - you will want to adjust according to your taste for chillies and for the spicy heat of your red curry paste (they vary). If too spicy, add more cooked rice. 2 Tbsp sesame oil 2 thai green chllies 1 dried red chilli, crumbled 1 tsp Thai red curry paste (be careful to choose one without fish paste) 2 Tbsp light soy sauce 3 cups cooked rice A few slices tofu, fried, or 1 egg, beaten and fried as omelette and cut in strips Green onion and cilantro/coriander leaves for garnish peanuts for garnish (optional) Heat oil, add chillies and stir briefly, add curry paste and soy sauce and mix. Add cooked rice and stir to coat all grains in the sauce. In a separate pan, fry the tofu or eggs and cut into fine strips. Put the fried rice on a serving platter, top with tofu or eggs and garnish with the onion, cilantro/coriander leaves and, if you like, a few peanuts. NOTE: There are many versions of this dish. Some include galangal or ginger. In others, the beaten eggs (if used) are stirred into the rice and stirred with the rice until they are cooked. Best, Pat ;=) ______________________ ______________________ Message: 3 Fri, 3 Dec 2004 06:29:40 -0800 (PST) Leticia Valdes <leticiavaldes greetings from the south of Chile Hello Moderator, Not long ago, I suscribed to this group and so far I feel that my mail has been somehow indaded. I appreciate and can enjoy the recipes but, I do not need to get 2, 3 or four mails with exactly the same subject. Thus, I would very much appreciate you send me only one mail of each recipe. My thanks to you, Leticia > > > Hello rendophilous; > > I can't recall recall trying " green curry paste or > not " . > > Thanks for the idea/suggestion though. > > Will have to try it. > > Hope your day is going well. > > > > With Love > > I-M > > hugs > > > > GOD BLESS !!! > > > > That sounds delicious!
