Guest guest
Hi again ;=) Anyone looking for info on nutritional requirements, including protein, plus information specifically on protein should go to Food Facts, Nutrition and Health in the Links section - there are two links under P for Protein specifically for that information. There are others too that will give nutritional info. As stated in my last email, I shall be putting Maida's info in the Files section - many thanks - so it won't just get jumbled up and lost in the archives amongst all the chit-chat. Also, I am grateful to be reminded of this site for recipes, just posted on TheFeralVegetarian list in another context. It's for beans - and some of you might want to check them out. It is specifically about Indian recipes for beans, which is right up our alley!!! http://www.ivu.org/recipes/indian-beans/ If any of you try any of these - please post and let us know which ones and how they turned out! We can then add them in here to our Recipes! Also, I am going to mention this: For any of you who are concerned about Vegetarianism and health - and/or weight loss: - I am co-owner (now) of another group to which many of you also belong and to which I invite any and all of you, whether you are trying to lose weight or not: vegetarianslimming/ It has a membership of over 400 and there is there a wider scope for discussing health and weight (and even underweight) issues as well as matters for athletes etc. Piers (a member here) is my right-hand and Moderator. It's a happy and friendly group too, but quite different from this one so you'll not find overlap in the normal course of things. Additionally, I remind you that Mark, my right-hand and Moderator on this list ;=) , has a group called BecomingYounger: becomingyounger/ I am a member. On that list he posts information re the nutritional make-up of various foods in great detail. Very informative indeed! I think those are the groups owned or moderated by our members which are specifically oriented to health matters. Check out the groups owned/ moderated by members in the folder at the top of the Links page - and add your own by all means. It need not be food-oriented or even vegetarian, but should say that it's not so we don't get confused LOL Okay, folks, and now back to hot and spicy - or at least spicy! - holiday food! Best love, Pat ;=)
