Guest guest
How about that! I guessed I started people to talkin/thinking-Great! I really thought it would be of interest to all that Susun Weed is a well known and respected veggie/pagan/herbalist that has no influence from the meat eating part of society. She carefully gathers and researches her information before sending it out to others. As for the young man that has been growing so stong and healthy-more power to you..I am sure that it does not affect us all in the same way,due to our own genetic makeup haveing a lot to do with it,but this is something that was never originally grown as a food. I'll say one thing....you folks are on your toes! MaryElizabeth PS I have a great Thanksgiving/Christmas alternative dish...It is a baked pumpkin that is stuffed, and even my non veggie friends thought it was a very unique and delightful dish. Here goes... One med sized pumpkin, hollowed out, brown rice, wild rice and sesame seeds (cooked the day before*) 4 cups water to 2 cups rice mix.Bring water to a boil then add the rice, cover and turn heat to low for 45 minutes DO NOT OPEN until 45 min have passed and the rice will be PERFECT every time. :-) 1/3 Cup olive oil one large onion, chopped 5-6 large cloves garlic ,chopped 1 zuchini one teasp sage 2-3 carrots 1/2 cup dried currants 2-3 celery stalks 1/2 cup chopped walnuts one red bell pepper 5-6 large crimini mushrooms, sliced 1/2 cup frozen peas Sea salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup frozen corn about three cups cooked rice mixture Method-bake the pumpkin on a baking sheet in a 350 degree oven until tender, but firm, about 30 min.Remove from oven and let cool. I a large wok add: Oil, and onions, garlic and carrots, stir fry together until mixed well, adding the rest of the ingredients one at a time. When all ingredients are incorporated, and seasoned to taste, stuff the pumpkin cover with foil and return it to the oven for 20 minutes more. This serves 8-10 people.
