Guest guest
Shalom to all. Regarding the vinegar in the choc cake, that recipe is a winner. I have made it for 35 years! It was created during the depression when eggs and shortening etc were in short supply. Or so my mother says. Eggplant dip 2 eggplants 1 onion (yellow) 2 - 3 tablespoons olive oil 4 - 5 tablespoons lemon juice 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon sugar salt and pepper prick the eggplant skin..and roast them in a hot oven or on your bbq. cook them very well..till they collasp. Let cool. Peel off the skin and scoop out the insides...including the liquid. Chop up very well. (do not put in a food processor..it makes it to smooth) Finely dice up the onion and fold in with other ingredients. Chill to blend flavors. Serve with rye crackers.
