A complete satisfying meal must have three bulk ingredients:

1. Grain (something made with wheat, rice etc)

2. Dal/bean/milk products (with significant protein content)

3. Vegetables/fruits (provide vitamins).

Thus examples of complete meals are:

roti (1)-dal (2)-sabzi (3) (vegetables)

rice (1)-sambhar (2+3)(sambhar has both dal and vegetables)

khichadi (1+2) (had rice and dal) with vegetables (3)

Pizza with crust (1), sauce/vegetables (2) and cheese (3)

Anything that does not have all three components may be a great

snack but not a full meal.

This is only a general rule for bulk components. Other

considerations like rasa, texture, nutrition are separate.
