Thousands of senior citizens in Florida have been denied the opportunity to improve their health and well-being with pet companionship in dwellings they own. Private home ownership should allow responsible persons to keep pets. Our web site has lots of information on the health benefits of pet companionship - <http://mywebpages.comcast.net/maidawg/petpetition.htm> http://mywebpages.comcast.net/maidawg/petpetition.htm or http://tinyurl.com/6daer. Guest guest
I could not get this story to come up, and I could not find the story in the files. I am not an expert in this field, but it is hard for me to imagine how a grove of trees could contribute to an earthquake. Just as a side issue, I lived for years in South America and Peru, which experiences many earthquakes The year I was there over 50,000 people died in an earthquake that covered two towns in the mountains. A mountain broke off, filled a lake, crushing it, and the resulting mud filled a whole valley which had two towns in it. I have personally watched three and four story brick buildings fall on people and crush them. I have dug people out of rubble and heard the screams. There is nothing that can compare to this type of tragedy. If you can donate anything at all I am sure it would be appreciated. If nothing else, your prayers and/or positive thoughts and energy would be wlecome. You can get to the story by visiting news. and then selecting " Science " followed by " AFP " (on right). It's then about the 6th story down. The report is from a chief scientist of a Swiss conservation organization and sounds quite credible. Piers
