Guest guest
I received a new cook book for xmas and have been dribbling over the recipes!! Still only tried one but have now done it twice so hope i'm not out of line just posting it, Bittersweet Chocolate Truffles (courtesy of the artful vegan) 6oz bittersweet chocolate 1/4 cup soya milk (i like to mix in some soya cream with this) 1/4 cup good cognac (sorry about the alcohol) 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder 1/4 cup finely chopped dried cherries cocoa powder for dusting in a double boiler or metal bowl above boiling water, add all except cocoa powder. When the chocolate is good and melted either whisk or beat untill a good smooth texture is achieved. (the longer the better) Then chill for a couple of hours, (not too hard and not too soft) spoon a truffel sized amount into palm roll then toss it in the cocoa powder getting a good even coating. Finally back to the fridge till it's time to eat. I have kept chilled for a week and they're still sooo gooood mmmmmmmmmmm chocolate
