Guest guest
Dear Members, The answers, including off-list responses, to my query about future list content are equally divided between those who want the list *exactly* as is and those who want to see a little (or much) more or a little (or much) less of something or other. (I counted them four times to make sure.) I suggest this: We will have a trial period of keeping this list on a firm track of recipes, their ingredients and food discussion - restaurant tips and such certainly allowable - with OT messages kept to a minimum but not excluded. Remember also that this is a list for 'hot and spicy' recipes - and that theme should be (normally) adhered to. (Save your jam-on-toast specialties for your other groups.) That's why people joined in the first place! Gratuitous discussion of reasons for vegetarianism, such as health, religion, respect for life, environmental concerns, etc., should be avoided whenever possible. This is stuff we all know and understand, although we each have our own reasons for being vegetarian in the way that we are, whether ovo-lacto, ovo, lacto, or following plant-based diet only. (Preaching to the choir is seldom worth the breath and may even be annoying or insulting.) Respect for *all* vegetarians, however, must be maintained. The same prohibitions against 'spam' or other disallowed messages still pertain, and requests that exceptions be made should go to the moderators at: -owner For my part, I will be now taking a much lower profile as administrator of this list. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. This matter will be reviewed in due course.
