Guest guest Posted February 1, 2005 Report Share Posted February 1, 2005 I was surprised that, when considering a theme for this month, no one at all mentioned the coming Lunar New Year (ok, Chinese New Year, as it is known in the west) on 9 February (8 February in North America) and continuing for a couple of weeks. Casseroles and crockpots and one-pot meals don't fit well with asian dining, as it happens. And not all traditional New Year dishes (and their accompaniments) are spicy. Vegetarian spice will, therefore, welcome any and all appropriate recipes for the celebration of the Lunar New Year - regardless of cooking method or seasoning. Just keep it vegetarian!
