Oregon is such a beautiful state. Some of my ancestry

goes back to 1849 in Oregon, when my great great great

grandparents, the Graves, came up the Oregon trail and

homesteaded on what is now Mount Angel, once called

Graves Butte, amongst other things. My adopted dad was

born in Echo, a small town noteworthy for having the

first woman chief of police in America. When attending

Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, bike rides

often took me down into Oregon. That was a time when

my vegetarianism did lots of maturing with the

generous nurturing of folks from the Seventh-Day

Adventist community in the area. I presently live in

Ashland, the most vegan-friendly place in know of...

Well, nice to know not everyone in this group is so

far away...

Peace,

Tom

Tom,

I am a transplanted Californian. I was born and raised in San Diego. I agree

that parts of Oregon is beautiful, but I live in the high desert bordering

Idaho. I am an Adventist (for about 12 years). I love spicy food (esp. Mexican).
