speaking on this topic, i don't use any mock meat products usually, except

of the occasional veggie dog/burger for the kids.

BUT... last month for the first time i tried a fairly new mock product:

http://www.sysco.com/products/moonrose.asp that is completely *vegan* and i

thought i died and went to heaven. they were so good! the strips i tried

were honey garlic, but you can get them in peppered (spicy!), teryaki, bbq

and several more flavours. i don't know if you can buy these in stores, i

have a contact with Sysco so i got a 10lb box of the strips.

here is another website i found -

http://www.syscocentralontario.com/products-featured-archive.htm# scroll

down and click on 'MoonRose Vegetarian' - it gives you some of the varities

and product order numbers. it seems that Sysco is all over North America.

has anyone else tried these?

I do not eat the mock weiners or such...never been a weiner fan.

I do however, love the mock ground beef. I use it all of my recipes

requiring beef
