Guest guest
Hi there! While dining at a Turkish restaraunt over the weekend I discovered a fantastic appetizer called Pilaki. Does anyone in the group have a recipe for this??? Thank you!!

It's beans - kidney beans, white beans, great northern, you pick - and cooked garlic, chopped carrot, chopped celery, chopped onion, chopped tomato, with parsley in olive oil etc., isn't it. I don't make it myself, but that's what I recall. I've also had it made with lentils. I googled and came up with a whole lot of recipes (warning - some have f*sh), and these two seemed typical of a vegetarian pilaki: http://www.thegutsygourmet.net/pilaksal.html http://www.recipecottage.com/beans/pilaki.html Anyone else out there have a recipe they've tried? Sorry I can't be more help, but it's not quite what I make - dunno why not! What a good idea. Best, Pat
Guest guest
The name of the dish sounds like a Pokemon character.
