Guest guest
Hi all, Lately I noticed that I've been getting only around 1/3 of my email from my lists. I found this out when I went to the website and saw all of the posts that hadn't been sent to me. I to " individual emails, " and my ISP set me up with a spam blocker that I can set higher or lower. My spam blocker had been set to a very high level. Now that I've set it to the next lowest level, I seem to be getting a lot more list email. Here's what I think is going on. Before changed their websites and the way the groups worked, all of our list individual emails listed " Groups " in the " From " section of the email address. All we had to do was whitelist " *@ " and we'd get all of our mail. The daily digests still list in the " From " section. However, nowdays the individual emailer is listed in the " From " section, not . So, if we have spam blockers, we'd have to whitelist hundreds, if not thousands, of individual email addresses in order to get all of our mail, something that's impossible. If you're having trouble getting all your mail and you think this might be why, please drop a note to and ask them to put " @ " back into the " From " section of the email address. Here's the address to write: -feedback Thanks! Sherry
Guest guest
Thanks, Sherry! I wasn't aware that this was happening - because I either read on the webpage or each list OR I take the Digest form. I would suggest further, that until sorts this out that members either check the webpage to make sure that they've missed nothing - say once a week or so, depending upon the volume of the lists they're on - or they go on Digest. It's less convenient of course and not so much fun, but it's no durn fun missing a bunch of posts either! Good luck everyone! Guest guest
Pat, I have a sneaking suspicion that the folks at set it up this way to force us to read the posts on their website so that we'll view their advertising and they can charge the advertisers more. I remember years ago that was hellbent on acquiring everybody's mailing lists and took over some very nice, noncommercial ones. Then they tried to convince listmembers to pay for the mailing lists. That didn't go over, so I think that's maybe why they changed it -- just a thought. Appropriately cynical - and you could be right. I kinda figure it's just another glitch in their system that will be the last on their To-Do list to fix, since it is a free service. Got settled in a permenant job, having a social life (and a lover or two *grin*), then my bedroom getting flooded, and other various things... I'm worn out! I also haven't been doing much cooking lately, although I've now been requested to cook for my current lover, so.. I've been a bad veggie girl lately, but you know, when you go for tapas and see grilled calamari, well....calamari is a weakness, you know... I'm hoping to move in the fall so I can have my own place (hooray!) and I'll probably start doing more cooking then... a friend of mine suggested the following online organic store, which I think I'm going to check out: http://www.planetorganics.com/ As far as I know it's only for the greater San Francisco bay area, but the pricing it seems pretty reasonable...I think the " boxes " they have sounds pretty good, and it would help me keep more variety in my diet...the other good thing is that they have grocery items as well like natural soaps, etc... gods, I can be lazy...LOL Well, that's about it...I may not be around much in the next few weeks since I'm going back to the east coast for a week for my dad's surprise bbq (where I'm the biggest surprise!)
