masala mac n' cheese? (seriously)

Someone wise SHOULD have said: " Thou must quarantine thy asafetida in

a Ziploc. "

 

Then maybe I wouldn't have had to learn the hard way. Ha!

 

To answer your request: Here is the 'easy mac' recipe I posted on my

spice blog.

 

 

Easy Masala Mac n' Cheese

 

2 boxes of Mac-n-Cheese

butter and milk as requested on package

cayenne or paprika to garnish

 

masala:

1 tsp. black mustard seeds

a generous pinch of asafetida

 

1. Cook pasta as directed. Drain.

2. Melt the butter in pot. Add the masala.

3. When the mustard seeds quit popping, add the milk, the pasta, and

the cheese packet (and maybe extra cheese. Heheh.) Stir and heat

through.

4. Now go on and sprinkle the top with cayenne or paprika.
