Guest guest
Hi, Just to be sure I understand, if I became a vegetarian due to my belief in animal rights, that would be for Ethical Reasons. Right? I was a tiny bit confused by Ecological Reasons. I certainly would be against eating animals that were endangered even if I didn't believe in animal rights. Of course there is also the argument that it takes less land to grow plant products for food for humans than it takes to grow plants for animals and raise them for food for humans. Is that under Ecological Reasons? Just trying to figure it out. Thanks, Gary --- wrote: > > Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created > for the > group: > > Why did you become a vegetarian? Guest guest
In response to Gary's query and to show others the inner recesses of my cluttered mind " Of course there is also the argument that it takes less land to grow plant products for food for humans than it takes to grow plants for animals and raise them for food for humans. Is that under Ecological Reasons? Just trying to figure it out. " That is how I define ecological. currently reading Diet for a Small Planet and to me that speaks of the ecological reasons. To me the ethical is the aversion to killing animals for food. Of course we would probably feel an element of all these. I am looking for the primary reason. Best regards and I can't wait to make that minestrone soup for watching football this weekend. Kirk
