Guest guest
What's your favourite convenience food - vegetarian or vegan - that you keep on the shelves (or in the refrigerator) 'in case' and love to use when in a hurry, feeling lazy, out of other ingredients, or just wanting to feel pampered? Let's hear it - no judgements here, but we will be grateful for the fun of hearing AND for the tips the answers will provide! Love, Pat
Guest guest
Ok, let me start since the rest of you are either too shy or too busy. For me it's chick peas. I love them in a salad plus I love making a quick snack with them by mixing them with olive oil, cumin and cayenee pepper and putting them on a baking sheet and baking them in a pre heated 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. I mix the chick peas while the kids are in the bath, cook them while reading a story then take them out after you have tucked them in and given them a kiss good night. then sit down and eat while unwinding after a long day. Angel hair pasta and a jar of good veggie marinara. Or, veggie bullion and rice with frozen veggies. I always eat these when my stomach just doesn't want anything else.... gina
Guest guest
Alright, I'll chime in; I have two favorites: roasted and salted edamame nuts and roasted soy nuts from Trader Joe's. Not a bad deal at $0.99 per package.
