This is sent as a Special Notice to all members.

 

Hi Everyone - You can now safely switch back to receiving messages, either as

Individual

Emails or as Digest (whichever you prefer), since we now have the situation

under control.

thank goodness.

 

Needless to say, neither I nor the two members whose addresses were used were

the

authors or originators of those messages - we just wouldn't do something like

that! But

you know that ;=) I just hate having my email address used in that way - some

computer

whiz kid, no doubt, with a sick sense of humour. He or she needs to grow up and

get a

life.

 

Sorry it happened - something not within our control, of course. But we can now

all get

back to exchanging recipes and friendly chat, on or off topic (no doubt) LOL

*sigh* It's called spoofing. They just go to a site, click the " send to

friends " , or whatever it says, part, and enter any email address as the " from "

one. They probably just looked through the group and picked addresses that

seemed to show up a lot. I have a very good idea who it was, there have been

some people following me through groups online, doing this. If it's a big

problem, I could leave and then they'll leave you alone. Just let me know.
