vegan chorizo

Good morning

I was scanning through the recipes while eating lunch trying to get some

ideas of what to make for the weekend. First off I think with all those

fantastic recipes we need to have a pot luck sometime. I noticed one on

baked bean enchiladas that called for vegan chorizo. I remember chorizo and

I know it gives some excellent flavour in portuguese cooking. Has anyone

tried this product and can you give me some brands to try and/or avoid.

Best regards

Kirk

Kirk,

Melissa's makes a wonderful vegan chorizo.

It's very high in sodium though (like most products of its nature).

I eat it every now and then and I usually just saute it with onions and red and

green peppers.

Hello Kirk. i must say that every brand i have tried

that is called soyrizo has been vegan and so delicious.

If you find this item i encourage you to buy some to

try, no matter the brand name.

Here are the brands i have had before:

http://www.friedas.com/

There was one other, but it was more of a no-name

brand, but it also was the same in flavor and texture

of the other two... vegan as well. :)
