Found a picture, here's the link. Is this what your horse beans looked like? My

curiosity is killing me, looove the name horse beans - gotta get some to cook!!

Yes, those look like horse/fava beans. My local Coop

carries them in bulk.

Y'know, I've never cooked fava beans - I may have had them, but not sure.

Something new

to try!

 

I also found some sites for them, and this one

has a photo of them around 1/3 of the way down the page AND it says that fava

beans and

horse beans are the same - it says

'fava bean = broad bean = butter bean = Windsor bean = horse bean = English bean

=

fool = foul = ful = feve = faba = haba = habas '

 

But of course I don't believe everything I read LOL - I'm still confused over

two definitions

of jeera powder, for example <weep, groan, gnash teeth - oops not a good idea>

Yup horse beans and fava beans look the same. Great thanks now i

know loads of the legumes .
