Guest guest
I make this all the time and yet I have never posted it, sorry about that. I have another recipe with homemade sauce but any of your favorite pasta sauces works just fine. This recipe came from my Italian friend Sandy Di Spirito. " Baked Ziti " 1 lb. of ziti pasta (looks like almost like penne) 15 ounces of ricotta cheese 3 cups grated mozarella cheese 3 cups of pasta sauce 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese Optional-sprinkle of red pepper flakes Preheat over to 350 Lightly grease a 9 X 13 baking dish. Boil Pasta according to package directions (al dente) drain. Mix all the ricotta with the pasta and 1/2 the mozarella with ziti. Cover bottom of baking dish with a thin layer of pasta sauce (not quite 1/2 the sauce). Put ziti mixture on top of sauce layer. Pour remaining sauce over top of ziti mixture. Sprinkle parmesan over top and then top with remaining mozarella cheese. Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown and the edges of the pasta crust.
