Guest guest
1) What is your name or what would you like to be called? Gosh, how about " linda " , with a little l 2) How old are you (roughly)? Yes, it has been at times a rough life and I am over 18 3) Where do you live (what country - what town, city or region)? Pacific Northwest, where it is currently raining....webs grow between our toes here turning us into ducks...hint hint hint 4) How long have you been a vegetarian/vegan? Vegetarian for probably 20 years, mostly vegan for a couple of years and a total vegan about six months, no animal products or by products in my house except probably for whatever has been used in the processing of my furniture. All non-food products also vegan and never tested on animals. 5) What is your favorite (vegetarian) food or meal? I love it all...but there is a Vegan restaurant in town that orders wheat gluten type things such as beef, chicken, shrimp, pork...it is great and I am attempting to learn how to do that. I love rice, beans, tofu, vegetables, and I use fruits to cook with, but rarely eat them raw...they give me heart burn. 6) Why did you join the group (apart from receiving an invitation)? To have an avenue to exchange ideas, recipes, and experiences. 7) Is there anything specific you want to get out of the group? Hopefully some ideas and just to know that there are others out there. 8) Tell us a few of your favorite things. I am working on farm animal welfare issues. Just beginning to work for feral cats where they are trapped, spayed, and returned to their regular life outdoor so they aren't trapped and killed. I read copious amounts of books for research into animal welfare. Love reading. I camp. I love hearing about people who are also working on issues to do with animals...gives me hope that there are compassionate people abounding. I love doing needlework of all types as it forces me to sit down and relax. linda (with a little l) " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it.
