Guest guest
Ok, I finally have a minute to post this one. I make alot of Tofu Stir Fry, normally marinating the tofu in soy sauce, fresh grated ginger, chili paste, and plenty of minced garlic, but cheated a bit this time by using a bottled sauce. 1 bottle PC Memories of Mum's Kitchen Soya Ginger Sauce 1 heaping tablespoon chili paste (it has a rooster on it, is called " Sambal Oelek " and is made by Huy Fong Foods - I think it's available everywhere, and it's great for heat - it's what I use in my Voodoo Bruschetta recipe, which is in the files) 1 pkg extra firm tofu, cut into bite sized cubes 6 cloves crushed garlic ****marinate above for a while**** 1 bunch kale, stems cut out and chopped 2 red peppers, chopped 1 bunch broccoli, chopped ginger or garlic scented oil rice or noodles Add oil to wok or stir fry pan (I have a wonderful cast iron one from Lodge, which I highly recommend). Heat to stir fry temparature. Add broccoli and kale, and stir fry for a few minutes. Add red peppers and continue to stir fry until slightly less than tender-crisp. Add tofu and marinade, and stir fry until tofu is heated through. Serve over noodles or rice (I used brown), and garnish with sesame seeds, if desired. Sometimes I add cashews to the stir fry with the tofu and marinade - yum! Something I like to do is marinate tofu overnight if I have the time. I know chinese chefs say to marinate briefly, but I find the best tasting tofu has been given time to marinade and take on flavour. Cathrine Pat wrote: >>What's cooking here?
