Guest guest
Hello all and I hope all are safe and well, I am not a vegetarian, but I will make sure not to offend anyone with my life style. I am slowly adding more and more plant protein over animal, but I have a long way to go. I enjoy eating any type of food, although some Curies are a bit to strong for me. I do eat a lot of hot spicy food that use a lot of peppers. I have a large garden each year and grow lots of peppers along with a wide range of veggies, just some of what I grew this year was tomatoes both red, yellow and white varieties, peppers sweet and hot, Okra, green snap beans and soy which I grew for the first time. Summer and Winter squash, Corn, Watermelons, cucumbers, greens of all types including Amaranth and quinoa. I also grew some wolfberries and a tonic herb called Ashwadagadha and a plant from the Andean region called Maca. I plan to add many other rare medicinal and culinary herbs to my garden next year. This year I grew some edible hibiscus varieties one of which is called Roselle which make a very nice tea. The seedpods leaves and flowers are used. I like to add rose blooms along with honeysuckle flowers to it for added flavor and fragrance, then too this time I also added elderberries. I enjoy making fresh garden soups and eating as much fresh raw vegetables as I can from my garden. As I am disabled and no longer can work ,I try to grow as many vegetables and fruits each year as I can. I discovered a large source of wild Goumi fruit this year, this will be added to my source of wild fruit that I will dry or make jelly from. Well I guess that is all I have to say. I hope everyone had a great season this year, I will enjoy reading all the recipies and hope that at some point add one or two of mine. George Z5 Mo.
