Guest guest
I never eat sweet potatoes because I like more spice. I think I would like this recipe. I printed for my sister to see if she can make it for Christmas Eve. I will be busy making other file recipes to take with me there. Guest guest
I make a version of this minus the oil, using maple syrup instead of brown sugar, and adding a little cumin (and cinnamon, but I'm just weird like that). I made it for Thanksgiving, and I guess I used a little too much chili powder, because my Dad asked me " can't you taste that! " Woops. Actually, I figured as much when I was making it and tried to cover it up for the family's benefit, with extra maple syrup, but to no avail. -Erin , sissy <pepepukpetunia> wrote: > > Spicy Sweet Potatoes > > 3 large sweet potatoes (not yams) peeled and cut in cubes (6 cups) > 2 tablespoons canola oil > 2 tablespoons brown sugar > 1 to 1 1/2 tsps. chili powder > 1/2 tsp. salt > 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper > > In a large baggie or plastic container, toss the potato > cubes with the oil.
