Here's a link to my very favorite quinoa recipe. It's a salad, but it

fits the theme of this list, because of the jalapeno.

Plant some -- put some on damp vermiculite, or on damp paper -- and see

if it sprouts.

 

It's generally GROUND grains, pulses or spices that go bad or lose their

potency.
