Guest guest
eat a cup of green onion tops just as is? I'd rather add mine to a salad or toss them in w/sauteed eggplant is the very bestest way to have them. There's a fabulous eggplant recipe in here somewhere, I think it's Pat's ...I can't find it...sauteed w/soy sauce...Pat, help! Beth " Douglas J. Guest guest
The green onion tops are great sauteed, Beth. Also great in a salad. Guest guest
I love green onions too - keep them in the crisper all the time - and they are as important a part of my cooking and enjoyment as garlic (also wonderfully beneficial), ginger (likewise) and - yeah, you guessed it! - chilies - which contain that wonderful thing called capsaicin (did I spell that right at 530 in the morning?) with more health benefits than you can shake a stick at. So nice for me to know that all the things that taste so good and make food, especially for vegetarians, especially for older vegetarians, so much more enjoyable are also good for me! Hey, everyone, have a great oniony day! Best love, Pat (who has just decided it's too early for anything and is going back to bed with her coffee and a good book and sundry little critters who are hinting for 'cookies')
