OT: Green onion tops for health

Love those green onion tops! I don't need a health reason to enjoy them<g>

 

Here's a tip. When you've snipped the tops off, plant the bottoms in some

potting or garden soil in a sunny area near your door. They'll keep

sending up new green shoots for years in a mild climate. Mine got down to

the mid-20's for a few days last week, and they're still going strong. I

can snip a few to sprinkle atop stirfries, Mexican dishes, etc.
