Guest guest Posted December 30, 2005 Report Share Posted December 30, 2005 Thought I'd share the rouladden recipe I just found... http://vegweb.com/recipes/subs/6421.shtml For the spice aspect - well my mom has never made anything bland... her version of beef rouladden I grew up with calls for spicy horseraddish german mustard and garlic. I also prefer kosher dill pickles - they have more kick. I'm not familiar with vegan brown sauce - I assume that's a gravy substitute.. I'd be spicing it up with garlic, pepper, and Maggi if it is - that should be more like mom's I'll have to try this sometime soon - it seems like the texture would be quite different but it should be a healthier meat free alternative - also cheaper - the cuts of beef used for rouladden tend to be expensive.
