Guest guest
Every now and then we send a reminder about posting - not directed to any particular member but for the attention of all. We all forget from time to time - I'm notorious for it! 1. TRIMMING: Please *trim* your posts. When responding to a previous post, please only include that part of the previous post which is particularly relevant and necessary for our understanding of your response. This is a courtesy to other members so that their mailboxes don't fill up too quickly. It also makes the reading of Digests much easier. 2. SUBJECT LINES: Please alter the subject line if you are changing the topic from the subject line. If you are responding to a Digest, of course, you must always do this if we are to know what your post is about. 3. OFF-TOPIC POSTS: On the group description we say, ` Here we share tried-and-true recipes, cooking tips and chat about vegetarian meals' - and of course, we wander off topic all the time - of course we do and of course that's usually just fine. But please mark your subject line with OT so that those who are here just for the recipes and chat relating to them can understand that they may, if they wish, safely skip them. (We are not talking here about disallowed topics - they are made clear in the Rules - but general chat about stuff of interest to vegetarians but not directly relevant to the group.) I am again one of those who rarely remembers to mark subject lines OT but I'll try to remember for the sanity of those members whose time is precious. Okay, so I'll try to set a good example, but in this case I need bigtime help! LOL There are a fair number of people on this list, so even a few forgetful people can make it a little messy all round. Thanks, everyone! Pat / veggiehound (list owner)
