Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself and let you know a bit about me.

My name is Debi, I live in Los Angeles, just bout 40yrs old. I am not completely

vegan but am about 80% there. I love veggies and love chiles.

I love to grow them, cook them, and eat them. Coming from a Hispanic backround,

I was hooked at an early age, and am always looking for a better recipe.

Besides gardening, I love to read and cook, crochet, and sew.

My favorite food is my salsa, (have to have a constant supply) and I don't think

I have come across a fruit or veggie I didn't like.

Looking forward to learning new veggie recipes.

Ok, I need to revise... I definately have dairy, can't let go of cheese. I have

cut out all red meat and occasionally have a little poultry. now I have no

idea of my percentage?

I do have a favorite salsa that took me a while to perfect, and I truly believe

its there. Ill share here..

1 lb tomatillos

19 dried chile de arbols to taste (I use handfuls)

2 dried guallilo chiles

Handful of dried oregano

1 to 1.5 cups cold water

Put in a large saucepan simmer for 20 mins. When cool enough blend in blender.

For a more complex flavor you can set tomatillos and chiles in a broiler and

roast em, then blend;

LOL. Heck, if you eat poultry, that's not

even vegetarian let alone vegan. 0%? ;)

LOL That's true! But, hey, it's a start on the way to being vegetarian, at

least. Perhaps our

excellent recipes will inspire giving up eating the dead birds as well! And

fish. Of course.

Best love, Pat.
