Guest guest
I bought some wonton wrappers and dont know what to make with them. All the recipes I find are deep fried, which I dont want. Does anyone have some spicy wonton recipes that arent fried? THanks Tami We can never see ourselves as others see us. Even the mirror shows us in reverse. Guest guest
I bake them. I made wild mushroom ravioli with them once. Here's what I did: Get some shiitake and portabello mushrooms, white wine, olive oil, extra firm tofu, and some garlic, basil, and oregano Throw ingredients into wok and stir fry. Use this as the filling for the wonton wrappers. You'll want to fold them in half--it's easiest--versus in triangles. Found this out the hard way. If you bake them at 350, they will NOT take long to bake, maybe 3-5 minutes. Just remember to grease the baking pan. I made them for my carnivore relatives so I could have something to eat, and they LOVED them. On 1/31/06, TLD135 <tld135 wrote: > > I bought some wonton wrappers and dont know what to make with them. You can use them to make dumplings that are steamed - whatever you choose to put in them. Best love, Pat
Guest guest
I only have recipes for wontons which are meat-filled, but I hope you get some good replies to this request. When I make them, I steam them on lettuce above boiling water. Then later, if I want to reheat, I can microwave, steam, or pan fry. It should work easily as well for, maybe, a tofu filling. I'd love to try some of your spicy, vegetable recipes. Colleen --- TLD135 <tld135 wrote: > I bought some wonton wrappers and dont know what to > make with them.
