I'm a bit reserved about it - I love it in lasagne or pasta dishes, but am not a fan of it raw... or by itself. I like it if it's disguised. ;o) > >Again, Shell welcome! Guest guest
i'm afraid my very favourite curry and rice recipe goes like this. ingredients. phone pair of trainers carrier bag. Ring up, order, then go and pick it up! I haven't tried a lot of recipes for spicy food. When I make a curry at home I tend to stirfry what ever veg I have on hand, then tip in a tin of kidney beans, tin of tomatoes, squeeze in a lemon, tbsp curry powder and tsp of garlic and ginger paste. then just cook it all together. It's not very inventive and I'd like to try something with individual herbs and spices. i have a recipe for lentil dal that looks lovely, I think I'll try it this week and will post if it's nice. I've also just bought some beans called chana dal, which I haven't used before, so I'm looking for some recipes to use those. My hubby and I went veggie just a few months after buying our first house. Theres a big difference from getting cooked meat that Mum serves up and having to come face to face with the raw item when you're cooking yourself. i found myself standing at our housewarming party with my hand inside the innerds of a dead turkey, felt it was the last straw, felt disgusted with myself, like something from a horror film. That was it and hubby wasn't a big meat eater like me, so he didn't mind at all about going along with it. We never looked back. We love spicy food. We have this bottle of stuff called Dave's Insanity sauce and it goes in everything from baked beans to gravy. We like it hot, hot hot! Cheers, shell. -- ------- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 215 spam emails to date. Paying users do not have this message in their emails.
