Guest guest
Sambar powder is a type of curry powder popular in southern india, and is also the basis of a common lentil dish called sambar. Yes, it does tend to be hot, but you can adjust this down. One of sambar's distinguishing features is that it contains a small quantity of roasted beans, which gives it a wonderful roasted taste and aroma. Coconut is also a common ingredient, either in the powder or added to the " sambar " itself. I love it!
