Guest guest
> Actually this is not that spicy. I meant to say that the pepperoncini is the type in jars so is not too spicy. Garlic does make it spicy but it mellows out in a couple of days because it marinades. . . . The cilantro cools it down too. Okay, I get it. I had wondered, but assumed somehow you had used incredibly fiery chillies that miraculously made two quarts of dressing *hot* :-) (They are a minor miracle, those little things, aren't they!) The jarred variety (which I have never used) must be of the sweeter variety, from what I understand. And now my request to you and everyone: Perhaps you and all of the rest of us could follow a custom we have used on this list before? If a recipe is NOT on the topic/theme of the list (not 'HOT and spicy' for savoury dishes or not featuring spices for the baked goods and desserts), then you - and others, please - could mark them OT in the subject line alongside the name of the recipe. That would help the moderators a lot and would also be a courtesy to those members who are on the list because they are looking for 'hot and spicy' as the homepage has always promised. Seeing 'OT' against a recipe name lets us know that it's something special that the member wants us to try, but it also lets us skip that recipe if we are in a hurry. As once before, I hasten to mention that OT posts (whether recipe posts or chat posts) are not forbidden by any means - not 'disallowed' - the 'OT' is simply to help those who are here only for the theme of the list, which is of course almost all members :-) Thanks very much, everyone!
