Guest guest
Potent Potatoes Bake 4 potatos after washing in warm water. Meanwhile, saute in olive oil: 6 ounces finely chopped ginger root 16 ounces chopped onion 4 teaspoon (approx.) finely chopped garlic 1-2 tsp. turmeric Caraway seed Red pepper (to your taste, watch out, it's HOT) Dash of powdered cardamom A few cloves A sprinkle of powdered cinnamon Saute until onion is nicely browned. Mix with cottage cheese to your taste. Cut baked potatoes in half lengthwise, scoop out the insides and mash. For each potato half, mix in half of the above mixture with the mashed potato and replace in the potato skins. Put a slice of cheddar cheese on top and melt in the oven. Garnish with fresh pineapple, radishes, and alfalfa sprouts. These are truly POTENT potatoes! So don't eat more than two at a time. Serving suggestion: Serve with salad and a bowl of yogurt. If you're sensitive to dairy, use goat or soy cheese and goat yogurt. Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less. Guest guest
This looks great! wonderful idea!!! Thanks so much. And I see your comment about those sensitive to dairy - >If you're sensitive to dairy, > use goat or soy cheese and goat yogurt. I think it is indisputable that goat's milk products are generally easier to digest. And for that reason they are often used for children. Taste good too, as I recall (haven't had any in a while) - an added bonus :-) However, there's only slightly less lactose in goat's milk than cow's milk, not enough to make a noticeable difference. People who are lactose intolerant might want to check out the following links: http://askdrsears.com/html/3/t032400.asp http://www.saanendoah.com/compare.html http://whatscookingamerica.net/Q-A/GoatsMilk.htm In any case, it's good to be aware :-) Best love, Pat
