Ancho - mild to medium-hot - a dried poblano pepper http://tasteoftx.com/recipes/chiles/ancho.html Poblano - blackish-green colour, 5 inches long and ca. 3 inches wide, look like a triangular green bell pepper. http://www.marscafe.com/php/salsa/poblano.html None of this will be news to those of you who live and cook in the American south, but some of us who live elsewhere - especially those overseas - might like to try some of those less popular in their part of the world.
