Tempeh!!! I haven't been able to get it in the last year around where I live. Anyway, seems the guy sells all this organic stuff, small shop, not a chain, and therefore can pick and choose his customers. I guess. His problem, however, was not in depleting his stock for his favourite customers but because he asked and found I was veggie and doesn't approve. Sheeesh! So I listened to a lecture on how we need animal products including red me*t and he knew because he had done research on it, so there. Anyway, I have two 350 g. packs of tempeh in my freezer right now, and have to decide which of my favourite recipes I'm going to make! Unless, of course, I come across a new one <g> Best love, Pat
Guest guest
waitwaitwait...wtf??? he didn't want to sell you TEMPEH because you're VEGETARIAN?? That makes less than NO sense. Shoulda belted him. Or just tell him to shove it & take your business elsewhere. Good griefasauraus. Pat <veggiehound wrote: Tempeh!!! because he asked and found I was veggie and doesn't approve. Guest guest
Doesn't approve of vegetarianism in any of its forms, that is why :-( And I won't even tell you what he said about soy products - unasked. And this is the *only* place I know around here where you can buy tempeh and also buy organic grains, lentils, beans. (Last couple of times we went there he had an assistant serving us in his absence. The assistant knew nothing, least of all the stock, but . . .) But this is the worst kind of passive aggression I've run into, as a vegetarian, for a while. Huh!! Hey, it happens. And I was able to buy 2 packs of tempeh too ;-) I'll go in an fright wig and a clown nose next time - he'll never guess it's me! Or maybe I'll belt him and then tell him where to insert his merchandise, as you say. Love, Pat > waitwaitwait...wtf??? he didn't want to sell you TEMPEH because you're VEGETARIAN??
