newbie here !!!!

Hello group,

This is my first posting and cannot wait to hear from all of you. My name is

Denise and I am living in Maine. Are there any others who live closeby ? I am a

dedicated animal rights activist and strict vegan, so it's hard to find friends

on the same wavelength. I am always looking for new and inventive recipes and

also talking with like-minded people. I have a 17 year old son . We've been veg

for 16 years. Only difference is that he's a cheese lover and I grit my teeth

and try not to harp. By the way, we have a beautiful Border Collie, 6 years old,

a mouse and a lovable rat named Dash, because when we were bringing him home

from the shelter he escaped and stayed in our van's dashboard for 2 1/2 days in

the middle of winter. Half his tail froze off before we could rescue him. Now he

is the most spoiled rat ever. Thanks for listening. Denise W.
